Where could you work?

Healthcare support worker apprenticeships are found across the NHS and beyond. If you’re considering a career in the health sector, it is often better to secure a job as a healthcare support worker first – then after a few months in your role, your employer will start you on an apprenticeship programme that is right for you. This means you can decide if this is the right career for you before you sign up to an apprenticeship programme.

“There aren’t many careers where you get to make a huge difference to people’s lives, every single day. But with ongoing training and endless opportunities to progress, you can earn, learn and make a difference with an NHS apprenticeship.”

- Jane Hadfield, National Apprenticeships Lead, Health Education England
